We treat children with a variety of surgical conditions.

We, the Pediatric surgeons at the University of Tokyo Hospital, treat a wide variety of diseases including congenital anomalies, thoracic diseases, abdominal diseases, urological diseases, pediatric cancer, as well as common pediatric surgical diseases such as inguinal hernia, umbilical hernia, intussusception, or appendicitis. Thus, our patients vary from premature babies to adolescents, and sometimes even adult with pediatric surgical issues.

Care is provided by certified Pediatric surgeons.

We work as a team to provide surgical care, led by highly trained pediatric surgeons, who are certified by the Japanese pediatric surgical association.

We are available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

We are always available. We can provide surgical care twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

We can provide endoscopic surgery for children of any age.

We offer laparoscopic surgery and thoracoscopic surgery, both of which are considered less invasive surgeries. We always weigh the benefits and risks of several treatment options to determine the best choice. We are always open to any questions until all family members become comfortable with the decision.
